Entegra Corporation was founded in 2008 by Donald R. Larson. A senior subject matter expert, Donald spent over 37 years as a engineer/scientist for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the National Metrology Institute (NMI) for the United States of America.
At the Gaithersburg, MD campus of NIST, he performed all the pulse generator and oscilloscope calibrations between 1998 and 2006. Before that, at the Boulder, CO campus of NIST, he peformed optical detector impulse response calibrations.
Donald built the first femtosecond Ti:Sapphire laser at NIST and assisted in the construction and operation of the first Electro-Optic Sampling system at NIST for characterizing optical detectors. He has published more than 75 articles in high-speed electronics, optoelectronics, and the metrology fields.
While at NIST, Donald was trained as an ISO 17025 Assessor by NVLAP. He provided significant contributions to the IEEE Std 181-2003, "IEEE Standard on Transitions, Pulses, and Related Waveforms." He holds a patent and is a member of ASTM, Sigma Xi, Pi Mu Epsilon, and a Senior Member of both the IEEE and Optical Society of America.
